Spin and Strength is 30 minutes of Spinning, and 30 minutes of mostly upper body strength. Strength involves different modalities of training including dumbbells, resistance bands, and body weight exercises.


Come join me for a 30-minute split class focusing on Cardiovascular Endurance and Strength.
Think of 15-minute intervals starting off with spinning- hills, sprints, and tabata work. Finish off the class with 15 minutes of Upper Body & Core Strength focus.

This group exercise program helps older adults at all levels of fitness to become more active, energized, and able to maintain their independence. Each one hour class focuses on cardiovascular exercise, strength training, balance, and flexibility.

Try this new combination class that takes muscular strength and endurance mixed with mobility training. You will train your full body, while using specific bodily actions to increase strength, mobility, and overall physique.

Exercises will target your entire core and lower body. Come tone your hips, thighs, glutes, and get abdominally toned! Exercises may focus on other muscle groups as well for variety.

Balance your energy and quiet your mind. Hatha Yoga focuses on physical postures (asana), breathing techniques and relaxation. Class begins with centering, breath work, warmups, moves through standing postures, balance and core floor work. This class moves a little slower than a Vinyasa class and is for all levels of practitioner.

In all HIIT classes Cardio, strength and ab intervals will be thrown in and mixed up each week to keep your body on its toes. Each muscle group is worked to fatigue using a circuit format that incorporates cardiovascular segments to keep the heart rate elevated.

Slowly but surely as we age we typically lose more and more of our range of motion. If you are looking to stop the loss and work to regain that mobility this is the class for you. Long stretch holds, joint strengthening, balance training are just a few of the tactics that are utilized in class.

We incorporate a stability ball or bosu ball and dumbbells into our workout to help with balance and core strength. Low impact.

A low impact, yet challenging class that incorporates yoga fundamentals to increase flexibility, balance, and mindfulness. We will also focus on core strength and overall toning with Pilates movement.

Pilates remix is an energetic combination of the strengthening moves of Pilates with the flexibility moves of Yoga. Very low impact, full body workout.

Power 30 is a fast-paced, high-energy 30-minute fitness class designed to maximize your workout in a short amount of time. It will combine strength and cardio to give you a total body burn!

Circuit style training mixed with HIIT training bursts. In this class we will be using a combination of dumbbells, body weight, and other equipment to build strength and endurance. This class is modified for all fitness levels. Come join us and feel more Powerful!

Saturday Sweat Sesh will involve a combination of workouts to include strength, cardio and core conditioning. Programming is designed and structured for optimal results in strength and endurance.

SHiNE is a dance fitness workout that blends current hit music and choreography to help students feel confident and strong. This high-cardio exercise incorporates jazz, ballet, and hip hop moves with calisthenics in a HIIT format for a full-body workout.

An easy relaxed stretch that focuses on breath work to take us deeper and connect body, mind and spirit. Chairs and props are encouraged and provided.

Do you like to move to the music and get some “steps” in while doing it? This 30-minute class offers a fun mix of step aerobics and muscular strength with an enthusiastic environment for all fitness levels.

Come rise with the sun. Students are individually challenged in sun salutations, peak poses, and deep stretches – all with the intention of cultivating a deeper acceptance, awareness, and balance in both mind and body. Leave feeling more aligned, focused, and relaxed.

TRX, also known as suspension training, is designed to increase overall strength while engaging the core muscles throughout the entire workout.

Individuals will not be turned away from participating in programs, activities, and/or membership due to their inability to pay. The Y maintains a generous financial assistance program for youth, adults, and families who demonstrate financial need. Funding for this program is provided by fundraising events at the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA and community-wide donors.
