About the Joining Fee: An amount equal to 90% of the one-time joining fee is transferred to our Building Endowed Trust for the preservation and maintenance of the YMCA facility at 225 Washington Ave. For our continuous members, it is our pledge to only charge this joining fee once during initial sign-up. This joining fee has the ability to be split over the first three months for those who pay through EFT.

For members 27-years-old and up

Regardless of age, income, or race, as a YMCA, we are welcome to ALL. To help us fulfill this mission, we offer a discounted membership to seniors based on income. Qualifying Senior Citizen Members (65 yrs old and up) are also not required to pay a Joining Fee.

KidZone is a free service for Household members that allows you to check in your children for a couple hours so that you can enjoy all the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA has to offer on your own. Parents will walk children into the KidZone and check in at the desk with photo ID.

Individuals will not be turned away from participating in programs, activities, and/or membership due to their inability to pay. The Y maintains a generous financial assistance program for youth, adults, and families who demonstrate financial need. Funding for this program is provided by fundraising events at the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA and community-wide donors.
