AFTERSCHOOL CARE

Monday–Friday
3:00 PM–6:00 PM
Ages 5–12 Years Old

MacGregor Elementary, Bay City Academy, Hampton Elementary, and Washington Elementary provide a bus to the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA.

Cost is $5.67 an hour for quality, licensed childcare for members and $6.67 an hour for community members.

Includes care on all snow days and non-school days. Does not include care during week long holiday breaks.

Afterschool/Camp Handbook

Non-School Days at the Y

7:00 AM–6:00 PM

Join us at the Y for a day of fun while school is out for the day! Just like with the afterschool program, kids participate in arts and crafts, literacy, board games, group games, and outdoor play, in order to explore and develop their interests and try new things.

Please send a swimsuit and a towel.

6–12 Years Old

  • Y-Members $60 / Day (Per Child)
  • Community Members $75 / Day (Per Child)
  • Guarantees a spot during snow days and one off days (Follows the Bay City Public School calendar)
  • Breakfast, lunch, and 2 snacks provided
  • Only pay when you attend

Does not include care during week long holiday breaks.

MIDDLE SCHOOL AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS

The YMCA has expanded after-school programming to Cramer and Christa McAuliffe Middle Schools. Students work with caring YMCA staff on a variety of activities in a safe and fun environment!

Spring Break Camp

March 30–April 3 7:00 AM–6:00 PM Ages 5–12 Years Old
Lunch and snacks will be provided. Space is limited and registration ends March 26th. Please contact the Assistant Director of Afterschool, Randi Dalton at rdalton@ymcabaycity.org if you have any questions. By applying for financial aid, up to 50% of you camp cost could be covered.

We’re happy to share that the Y will resume normal hours January 30th at 5:00 AM. Our 24/7 Fitness area will reopen , January 29th at 9:00 PM.

Financial AsSistance Programs

Individuals will not be turned away from participating in programs, activities, and/or membership due to their inability to pay. The Y maintains a generous financial assistance program for youth, adults, and families who demonstrate financial need. Funding for this program is provided by fundraising events at the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA and community-wide donors.

There is a reduced joining fee. $25 for Youth/Teen, $25 for Adult, and $50 for Household memberships.
