Our Mission: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
Our Core Values: Caring: expressing sensitivity for the well being of others. Honesty: fairness and trustworthiness. Respect: understanding and acceptance of all people. Responsibility: accountable for one’s actions.
Our Cause: To strengthen the foundations of our community through Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
We count on the generosity of you, our members, and community to help people of all ages and from all walks of life. Together we are committed to giving young people the resources to reach their potential, provide individuals with the access and support to lead healthy lives, and connect neighbors so they can come together for the common good.
With a focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, strengthening communities is our cause. At the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA, we believe that lasting personal and social change happens when we all work together. Every day we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to be healthy, confident, connected and secure.
When you give to the Y, you are funding life-changing programs for children, adults, and families in the Bay City and surrounding areas to learn, grow, and thrive.
As a Y volunteer, you can lead an exercise class, coach a basketball team, help out at a special event, or simply serve as a role model for young people.
We are very grateful to partner with companies like Kroger that will send a portion of their earnings to various non-profits as donations.
When you choose to shop with these companies, you strengthen your community by helping to fund the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA Financial Assistance Program. This fund directly benefits the members of our community who support the YMCA’s mission, but can not afford to participate in its programming. Together with your help, we have fed thousands of youth, provided sports scholarships to hundreds of kids, and supported our senior citizens by offering discounted rates.
Create a digital account by clicking here and selecting the organization that you wish to support, aka…us! A digital account is needed to participate in Kroger Community Rewards. If you already have a digital account, simply link your Shopper’s Card to your account so that all transactions apply toward the organization you choose.
Your selected organization will also display in the Kroger Community Rewards section of your account. If you need to review or revisit your organization, you can always do so under your Account details.
Any transactions moving forward using the Shopper’s Card number associated with your digital account will be applied to the program, at no added cost to you. Kroger donates annually to participating organizations based on your percentage of spending as it relates to the total spending associated with all participating Kroger Community Rewards organizations.
Every day at the Y, members like you inspire us with the remarkable things you are doing to grow stronger in spirit, mind and body – and we want the rest of the community to know about it! Please take a moment and share with us why you come to, work for, volunteer with, or give to the Y. Share your experience, your fond memories, your passion, or what keeps you coming back.
Share and preserve your legacy and help us pave the way towards a brighter future for our community!
