Through mentorship, hands-on training, and classroom learning, you’ll gain valuable knowledge and skills to grow your career. This one-year program includes: All hours may be applied toward earning your Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential. Upon completion, participants receive the Early Childhood Professional Apprenticeship Certificate from the U.S. Department of Labor. DOW BAY AREA FAMILY YMCA JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Childcare Assistant Teacher Work Location: Dow Bay Area Family YMCA Childcare Center location at 225 Washington Ave, Bay City 48708 Reports to: Director of Early Childhood Status: Part Time (flexible – up to 29 hours per week) Schedule: Various shifts available Monday-Friday between 7:00am-6:00pm Compensation: Starting at $12.50 per hour and FREE YMCA Household Membership POSITION SUMMARY: This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Childcare Assistant Teacher will be responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher with giving care and providing a safe, nurturing environment for children in our childcare programs in accordance with the YMCA mission and core values.
