Welcome to the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA UPTOWN PARK

The Y is committed to the health and well-being of our wonderful community and hope that anyone seeking a safe outdoor space to recreate or relax, feels welcome at Uptown Park. This park is owned by the YMCA and available to anyone during the hours of operation listed below.

No membership or day pass is required to use this beautiful space. We hope you value and enjoy it!

Park Policies

To make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience at the park, and to ensure the community can enjoy this park for years to come, the Y has established some policies and rules for this space.

Park Rules

  • No Firearms/Weapons

    Firearms or weapons of any kind are not allowed on YMCA property.

  • No Pets

    No animals allowed except trained service animals.

  • NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

    No alcohol or controlled substances.

  • NO Smoking

    The use of tobacco or e-cigarettes are not permitted on YMCA property.

  • NO MOTORIZED SCOOTERS

    Motorized scooters and motorbikes are prohibited in Uptown Park.

  • No Rollerblades/Skateboards

    The use of roller blades, bikes, or skateboards are not permitted in the park.

  • Bring Equipment

    The YMCA does not provide any sports equipment for this park.

  • Please throw away garbage

    Help us keep this park clean by throwing any garbage away.

  • PLEASE SUPERVISE YOUR CHILDREN

    Adult supervision is required for all children while using this park.

Court Policies

Pickleball

  • Court use is for anyone in the community.
  • Court is used on a first-come, first-served basis, unless otherwise designated for a special program, activity or event.
  • If players are waiting, play is limited to one game to 11 points.
  • No unauthorized paid services, lessons, or trainers allowed.
  • Prohibited items include glass containers, bikes, skateboards, and roller blades.

Basketball

  • Court use is for anyone in the community.
  • Court is used on a first-come, first-served basis, unless otherwise designated for a special program, activity or event.
  • Let everyone play! Please limit your game or invite others to play with you if people are waiting.
  • No unauthorized paid services, lessons, or trainers allowed.
  • Prohibited items include glass containers, bikes, skateboards, and roller blades.
  • No half-court shots–be aware of basketballs potentially bouncing into the street.

  • Please be on time for your reservation. If you are late for your appointment, you will not get additional time. (e.g. your reserved lap swim time is 9am-9:45am, but you do not get in the pool until 9:20am, your reservation still ends at 9:45am.)

  • There are daily/weekly limits on some classes/areas to give opportunities to other members. The system will let you know if your daily/weekly limit has been reached.

Financial AsSistance Programs

Individuals will not be turned away from participating in programs, activities, and/or membership due to their inability to pay. The Y maintains a generous financial assistance program for youth, adults, and families who demonstrate financial need. Funding for this program is provided by fundraising events at the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA and community-wide donors.
