RECESS PROGRAM STAFF (OFF-SITE)

Job Title: Recess Program Staff (off-site at Washington Elementary School) Reports to: Youth & Family Director Status: Part Time (10-12 hours per week) Hourly rate: $12.50 per hour Schedule: September 2024 – June 2025 **Shifts are available Monday-Friday 10:50am-1:15pm** POSITION SUMMARY: This position supports the work of the YMCA, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Recess Program Staff will attend the recess program off-site at Washington Elementary School to interact with the students and engage with them while providing supervision and organized activities. The Group Exercise Instructor instructs group classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that welcomes people of all skill and fitness levels. The Group Exercise Instructor effectively builds community within the class and modifies class as needed to meet varied health, ability, and cultural needs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: QUALIFICATIONS:

Financial AsSistance Programs

Individuals will not be turned away from participating in programs, activities, and/or membership due to their inability to pay. The Y maintains a generous financial assistance program for youth, adults, and families who demonstrate financial need. Funding for this program is provided by fundraising events at the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA and community-wide donors.
