Justin Grandy Justin Grandy Personal Trainer 21 years ago, I walked into my first gym and immediately knew it was a place that would positively change my life forever. Daily, my passion and respect for the sport grows by talking with and gaining knowledge from all types of fitness enthusiasts, including bodybuilders, powerlifters, and those who are just looking to build a healthier lifestyle around cardiovascular endurance. Two years ago, I was presented with the opportunity to work with a 13-year-old national wrestler. At that moment I realized I wanted to do more to help others reach their goals which has led me to earning my ACE certification. With my ACE certification, extensive background with fitness and business management, and a wide variety of resources available, I am prepared to help all potential clients of all ages reach their goals. I look forward to continuing my education within fitness and to build my personal network, allowing me to continue to help others live an improved and healthy lifestyle. Which lead to my passion in fitness and training. 11 years ago I went through my own weight loss journey of losing 77lbs. I fell in love with strength training and the feeling of completing what everyone said I couldn’t do. This gave me my positivity, confidence and purpose in life back. Shortly after this I enrolled at SVSU and started teaching group exercise, working fitness front desks, and personal training for a total of 5 years. I took a small break. I love helping others discover their strength, confidence, and being apart of the journey in reaching their goals. I am more than excited to be apart of this again! I took a small break. I went through another weight loss journey after pregnancy. It was not easy being a new mom and working in law enforcement at the time. I am a mom of a happy little girl who loves to try and get her workout in with me 😉 I will motivate you, push you, and help you discover what you thought you “couldn’t” do. I want to help you build new habits and find what works best for you. Exercise does not have to be punishment. I love helping clients find what they love to do to stay active and healthy! I want to help you succeed in building habits that you can use for a lifetime. I have been training with Kara twice a week (most weeks) for over 2 years now. It’s been a wonderful experience. Kara knows how to encourage me while pushing me to do my best. She is aware of my limitations from time to time and is cognizant about challenging me in healthy ways. I am feeling stronger and more confident in my body as a result. She holds me accountable which has been key to my success. I’m grateful for her support.  – Shannon I hired Kara (twice) for a package of ten 30-minute personal training sessions. I wasn’t sure which trainer I wanted to work with at first, but Kara gave me a tour of the facility, and after spending 15 minutes with her, I knew she was the trainer for me. From a physical standpoint, Kara kept every workout interesting, challenging, fresh, and never repeated. I felt she tailored the workouts based on my goals and fitness level. She was knowledgeable, patient and fun.  But the real magic happened from a mental standpoint. Kara pushed me
