Noon Ball is an organized opportunity to play adult basketball on our courts. Noon Ball is open to all Dow Bay Area Family YMCA members who are aged 18 and older. There are no additional costs to join in on a Noon Ball game!

  1. No profanity allowed.
  2. No fighting. Any fighting on Dow Bay Area Family YMCA property will result in suspension from the YMCA.
  3. Shirts must be worn at all times.
  4. All games are 2 on and 2 off.
  5. Newcomers play immediately. When someone arrives to Noon Ball and has not yet played, they automatically get to play in the next game.
  6. All games are played to 15. Win by 2 or 3 points.
  7. Scoreboard may be used if 25 or more people are playing. Ask the Fitness Floor staff to use the scoreboard. Time limit for the games with scoreboard usage will be 12 minutes. Noon Ball players are responsible for setting the time limit for each game.
  8. Free throw contest will determine who plays next on a team of 4 or less. If 4 or fewer players are waiting to play the next game, the losing team will shoot free throws to determine who stays on the court.
  9. All players must uphold the YMCA core values: Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Caring.

Family Basketball is dedicated court time for families to play and enjoy basketball together in a fun, supportive, and relaxed setting.

This is not a league or structured program—just open play designed for parents, guardians, and kids to share the court, practice skills, and enjoy active time together.

YMCA Facility Update 

We’re happy to share that the Y will resume normal hours January 30th at 5:00 AM. Our 24/7 Fitness area will reopen , January 29th at 9:00 PM. 

  • Reservations are for members only.

  • Reservations can be made up to 5 days in advance or until one hour before the class starts. If you wish to reserve a spot within one hour before class starts, please call the MEMBER SERVICE DESK.

  • Please be on time for your reservation. If you are late for your appointment, you will not get additional time. (e.g. your reserved lap swim time is 9am-9:45am, but you do not get in the pool until 9:20am, your reservation still ends at 9:45am.)

  • Reservations can also be made at the MEMBER SERVICE DESK or by calling us at 989.895.8596

  • There are daily/weekly limits on some classes/areas to give opportunities to other members. The system will let you know if your daily/weekly limit has been reached.

  • If you are unable to attend your reserved appointment, please cancel your appointment online or call the MEMBER SERVICE DESK.

Financial AsSistance Programs

Individuals will not be turned away from participating in programs, activities, and/or membership due to their inability to pay. The Y maintains a generous financial assistance program for youth, adults, and families who demonstrate financial need. Funding for this program is provided by fundraising events at the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA and community-wide donors.

There is a reduced joining fee. $25 for Youth/Teen, $25 for Adult, and $50 for Household memberships.
