Job Title: Youth Food Program Staff
Reports to: Youth and Family Director
Status: Part Time (approx. 10-15 hours per week)
Compensation: $12.50 per hour and FREE YMCA Membership

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Food Access Program Staff will be responsible for assisting the Youth and Family Director in the administration of all meal and snack programs.
JOB DETAILS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Preparing and serving food according to appropriate food safety requirements
- Responsible for ensuring all CACFP and SFSP required records are completed accurately and on time in accordance with program requirements
- Build/maintain positive relationships with children and families served, staff, volunteers, and partner organizations in the community
- Be proactive in the ongoing recruitment of program participants and education/outreach of YMCA anti-hunger initiatives to the community
- Attend all required staff trainings and meetings
- Serve as a representative and role model for the YMCA maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior food service experience preferred or Servsafe Certification
- CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred
- Demonstrates a desire to serve others and fulfill community needs
- Previous experience with diverse populations and ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with kids from different backgrounds
- Reliable transportation required as some program serving locations are offsite
- Able to lift up to 20lbs
