Strength Clinic

Feeling weaker, noticing diminishing abilities, or concerned about bone health?

Has your healthcare professional recommended strength training, but the weight room feels intimidating? Don’t worry, we’re here to help!

Join Caroline for a 4-week resistance training program for seniors! Meeting once a week, designed to help you start safely and confidently. We’ll begin with machines and gradually progress to free weights.

The program also includes daily warm-ups, stretches, balance exercises, and drills to improve joint stability, reduce stiffness and aches, and help prevent falls.

Thursdays in March from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM

  • A workout outline to follow at your own pace

We’re happy to share that the Y will resume normal hours January 30th at 5:00 AM. Our 24/7 Fitness area will reopen , January 29th at 9:00 PM.

Financial AsSistance Programs

Individuals will not be turned away from participating in programs, activities, and/or membership due to their inability to pay. The Y maintains a generous financial assistance program for youth, adults, and families who demonstrate financial need. Funding for this program is provided by fundraising events at the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA and community-wide donors.

There is a reduced joining fee. $25 for Youth/Teen, $25 for Adult, and $50 for Household memberships.
