Bio

Eight years ago, I was introduced to weightlifting and the gym environment by my dad who is a fitness enthusiast as well. He introduced me to a functional exercise routine that directly correlated to the success I had in sports throughout middle and high school.

Post graduation from Bay City Central, my competitive sports career ended, but I continued strength and resistance training as a way to stay healthy and active. Exercising is paramount in my daily routine. It is a way to relieve stress, accomplish individual goals, and stay a motivated individual.

I became infatuated with the idea that if I set goals, follow a plan, and hold myself accountable I could push myself to be a better, healthier person. In doing so, I wanted to educate myself to improve the efficiency and results from exercising, which led me to earn my ACE certification. The ACE program was a great fit for me as it focuses on interpersonal communication, building intrinsic motivation, and accomplishing goals.

As a trainer, I want to help my clients accomplish their goals and make a positive impact on their fitness journey. I hope to not just train my clients, but to build relationships, foster motivation, and help support them in their pursuit of a healthier lifestyle.

What I believe sets me apart is my unwavering dedication to your success. I am not just here to count reps or design workouts; I am committed to understanding your unique needs, motivations, and abilities.

  • Reservations can be made up to 5 days in advance or until one hour before the class starts. If you wish to reserve a spot within one hour before class starts, please call the MEMBER SERVICE DESK.

  • Please be on time for your reservation. If you are late for your appointment, you will not get additional time. (e.g. your reserved lap swim time is 9am-9:45am, but you do not get in the pool until 9:20am, your reservation still ends at 9:45am.)

  • There are daily/weekly limits on some classes/areas to give opportunities to other members. The system will let you know if your daily/weekly limit has been reached.

Financial AsSistance Programs

Individuals will not be turned away from participating in programs, activities, and/or membership due to their inability to pay. The Y maintains a generous financial assistance program for youth, adults, and families who demonstrate financial need. Funding for this program is provided by fundraising events at the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA and community-wide donors.
