The Dow Bay Area Family YMCA offers Tennis, Basketball, Flag Football, and Volleyball summer camps.

YMCA Basketball Academy Summer Camp Series (YBA)

This camp is perfect for all levels and will be customized based on skill level. Campers will be exposed to ball handling, shooting, foot work, passing, defense, and rebounding drills that will develop them into a complete basketball player.

YBA Participant: $60/week
Y-Member: $65/week
Prospective Member: $75/week

5-6 year olds:

YBA Advanced Camp

This camp is designed for 4th-6th graders that have prior basketball experience and want to elevate their game to the next level. Camp will be led by a Delta College Student athlete, Aaron Collins, who is a starting point guard (pictured above). Sign up your child to fain first hand experience and knowledge from a current basketball-playing athlete!

YBA Participant: $65/week
Y-Member: $70/week
Prospective Member: $80/week

9-11 year olds :

YMCA Flag Football Camps (YFFL)

Camps will be broken down by age and the fundamentals will be the main focus. Players will work on footwork, running, increasing foot speed, running with the ball, catching, throwing the ball on the run, ball handling and more! Camps will be held at Handy Middle School Football Field. This camp will be led by Devell Washington (pictured above), who has committed to playing College football at West Virginia in fall of 2020. Campers will gain first-hand experience, skills, and knowledge from a 3-star level high school athlete!

Flag Football Participant: $65/week
Y-Member: $70/week
Prospective Member: $85/week

YMCA Volleyball Academy Summer Camp Series (YVA)

This camp will be an extension of the fundamentals worked on during the YVA season. Players will get multiple repetitions on passing, setting, and serving. Players will also develop the correct footwork for attacking at the net. This camp will develop the campers into complete volleyball players.

YVA Participant: $65/week
Y-Member: $70/week
Prospective Member: $85/week

Dow Bay Area Family YMCA Summer Tennis Camps

Camps are led by Joe Ricard, an experienced Bay City tennis instructor, at Janet Jopke Tennis Facility on Park Avenue. Sessions are 2 weeks long and classes will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for a total of 6 classes per session.

Mighty Mites 3-6 year olds:

NEW! Sports Conditioning Camp

This program is designed to teach kids how to work out and stay healthy and fit over the summer, or to help them stay in shape during their sport off-season. Included is one hour of cardio training and one hour of power training.

Y-Members: $70

7-8 Grade:

NEW! Inclusion Sports Camp

At the YMCA, we are here to strengthen the foundations of our community through healthy living for ALL, which is why we are spearheading the Inclusion Sports Camp this summer. This program will teach a variety of sports to individuals with special needs. We will be separating participants into two age groups over three sessions this summer. Max of 15 campers per session.
