Water babies builds basic water safety skills for both parents and children, helping infants and young children ages 6 months to about 3 years old become comfortable in the water so they are willing and ready to learn to swim. These basic skills include adjusting to the water environment, showing comfort while maintaining a front or back position, bubble blowing, and voluntarily submerging under water.
Accompanied by a parent, infants and toddlers learn to be comfortable in the water and develop swim readiness skills through fun and confidence building experiences, while parents learn about water safety, drowning prevention, and the importance of supervision.
Water babies will meet every Tuesday and Thursday for a total of 6 sessions.
