This course is designed for those 15+ who are interested in becoming certified in CPR/AED through American Red Cross. This course provides both training and testing of CPR skills which includes recognizing and responding to signs and symptoms of cardiac issues, how to perform CPR on adults, children, infants, and how to use and employ a AED. Upon completion and passing of the course, participants will receive a certification through American Red Cross.
Each participant will receive a resuscitation mask for use during and after the course. Water, a form of lunch/snack, and some form of note-taking (pen and paper, laptop) is recommended but not necessary.

Individuals will not be turned away from participating in programs, activities, and/or membership due to their inability to pay. The Y maintains a generous financial assistance program for youth, adults, and families who demonstrate financial need. Funding for this program is provided by fundraising events at the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA and community-wide donors.
