Policies and membership fees are set by the Volunteer Board of Directors, who are elected by vote of the Y members.
Refund/Credit Policy
Y memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. Members who are on the monthly bank draft payment program must give 30-days written notice prior to terminating their membership. Program fees are non-refundable except under the following conditions:
1. Programs cancelled by the Y will be fully refunded.
2. In the case of a medical emergency, a credit will be issued for the remaining balance of class fees. (A written request must be submitted with a doctor’s note.)
Program Cancellation Policy
They Y reserves the right to change building schedules, program fees, and membership rates without notice, as well as, cancel programs due to insufficient enrollment. When events beyond the Y’s control cause a program cancellation such as a holiday, inclement weather or other emergency, program cancellations will be announced on local television and radio stations.
Child Supervision
Children under the age of eight must be attending a supervised Y program or accompanies by an adult at all times. For safety reasons and to ensure class quality, spectators are allowed to view only the first and last class of each program session.
Insurance
Y members, guests and class participants are advised that they use the Y facilities, equipment and program activities at their own risk. The Y does not provide reimbursement of medical expenses incurred while at the Y.
ValuableS
Lockers are available for day use by members and guests of the Y. Personal items should not be left unsupervised at any time in the Y. Users must provide their own locks that must be removed at the end of each day. Items left overnight will be placed in the “lost and found”. The Y is not responsible for any lost or stolen articles. Valuables should not be brought into the Y unless absolutely necessary. Please invest in a strong lock and always secure your belongings.
Proper Attire
Proper gym attire is required in all workout areas: jeans and street shoes are not allowed. Men and women must wear shirts at all times.
Cell Phones And Cameras
Cameras and cell phones must not be operated in any of the locker rooms or rest room areas: they may be used in open public areas of the Y.
Spectator Viewing
To ensure our class quality and for safety reasons, spectators are allowed to view the first and last classes of the session.
